Community Orchard Planting

There are lots of ways to volunteer in your community. Volunteering is hugely rewarding and is a great way to meet people and make new friends, as well as helping improve your community.  Here are a few ways you can get involved:

Hordle Environmental Group – help the public areas around Charnock Close and Yerville Gardens in Hordle look beautiful.  The friendly group meets weekly. For more details visit the HEG page.

Golden Hill Working Party – help keep this woodland looking lovely.  The group meets fortnightly (unless it is raining!).  For more details visit the Golden Hill Woods page.

Speedwatch – the group uses SID – the Speed Indicator Device – to monitor and record speeding vehicles at different points around the parish.  If you would like to help keep our roads safe, visit the Speedwatch page to find out more.

Councillor – from time to time we have vacancies for councillors, to be filled by co-option.  If you are interested in helping make your community an even better place to live, work and relax, why not become a Parish Councillor?  Find out more on our About the Parish Council page.

Contact the Parish Office for more details about all of these opportunities.
