Hordle Parish Council co-ordinates the local Speedwatch Group, which regularly goes out onto the parish’s roads to monitor the speed of motorists. They are often joined by the police who give invaluable support to this project and who follow up with motorists who are significantly above the speed limit.
The group welcomes new volunteers – just contact the Parish Office or download the Speedwatch form here, fill in your details and return it to the Parish Office.
In addition, the Parish Council recently took delivery of a new VASLR (Vehicle Activated Speed Logging Radar) device (pictured), which moves to various agreed locations within the parish, recording vehicle speeds. New locations in Tiptoe have now been added. To find out the results of its work so far, click here.
