About

Golden Hill is an ancient marl pit which is now a sanctuary for wildlife, adjacent to Ashley Lane and Hare Lane in Hordle.  It has several paths to wander along and enjoy the natural environment.

Golden Hill is carefully managed by the Parish Council to optimise its ecology and make sure it is a lovely area for residents to enjoy.  Download a copy of the Management Plan.

The Management Plan is implemented by a team of volunteers from the Golden Hill Working Party.  If you have some spare time, enjoy being in the outdoors and would like to meet new friends, why not join this friendly group?

The group is always keen to welcome new volunteers and meets on alternate Wednesday and Saturday mornings 10.30am – 12.30pm from October to March.  The groups doesn’t work in the rain and all tools and equipment are provided.

Download the Volunteer form. Just complete and return to the Parish Office.
